RIYADH — Filipino electrical, mechanical and civil engineers in Riyadh are set to take the licensure examination to be held at the Philippine Embassy starting today.
To conduct the examinations is a team from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in Manila composed of Assistant Commissioner Aristogerson; Rodolfo Pe?alosa, chairman of the Board of Electrical Engineers; Chona Evangelista, chair of the Board of Mechanical Engineers; Apollo Enriquez, member of the Board of Civil Engineers; and Amelia Empaynado, licensing director.
According to the schedule provided to Arab News by Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME) Riyadh Chapter, the team will set up at the Mabini Hall of the Philippine Embassy, which is designated as the examination venue.
The team will check and test examination equipment such as computer, printer, printing machine; accept payment, issue notice of admission; plan seating arrangement of examinees; brief the proctors; and print test questions.
The group will then proceed to Alkhobar to hold similar examination from Saturday up to Monday, said Jeffrey Agura, the newly-elected president PSME-Riyadh.
A request by the engineers' groups for a separate examination in Jeddah was not granted due to a small turnout of applicants, Arab News learned.
