RIYADH, 10 January 2005 — Samba Financial Group (Samba) has donated SR2 million to the victims of tsunami in Asia in response to the call of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd for relief aid.

Commenting on Samba’s donation, Eisa M. Al-Eisa, Samba’s managing director and chief executive officer, said: “No doubt the king’s call for this donation campaign reflects a clear message to the whole world that demonstrates the bright humanitarian facet of Saudi Arabia. In fact, the disaster which hit this part of the globe has its impact on the entire humanity, and therefore, it prompted all the nations around the world to help.”

Saudi Arabia was one of the first countries to respond to the tragedy. Samba’s donation of SR2 million comes as part of the Kingdom’s relief effort.
