KARACHI, 5 February 2005 — Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said mega show Expo 2005 has helped to change the impression of foreign investors about Pakistan.
The prime minister said the exhibition is a historic event for the country. “We brought together about 500 exhibitors and thousands of guests to see what Pakistan produced. We provide all domestic and foreign investors a level playing field and create and environment for foreign entrepreneurs to invest in Pakistan,” he said.
He pointed out that strong economy, smooth functioning of political process and safe environment, including internal and external security, were three important pillars for the development of any country.
Regarding internal and external security, Aziz said: “Pakistan is a peaceful country, we have no aggressive design against any other country. Our unique location gives us an unmatched geopolitical position and we intend to fully exploit its potential.”
