YANBU, 16 October 2005 — The consumer and environmental protection department at the Royal Commission for Yanbu has increased their field checks on restaurants and stores to ensure that they maintain hygiene. The commission urged restaurant owners to make sure that the foods they serve are clean and fresh and insisted that measures should be in place to ensure consumer safety. The commission also warned food outlets against inflating prices during Ramadan.
