JEDDAH, 9 November 2005 — A young Ittihad fan was killed after he went to the stadium to support the team in its final match against Al-Ain of UAE. He was unaware when he left home that he would never return, Okaz reported. The young man was celebrating his team’s victory when a car smashed into him, killing him instantly. His family received the news in shock and subsequently buried him in Makkah.
