JEDDAH, 3 May 2006 — A Saudi has pressed charges against his ex-wife for what he says was harassment that sent his new wife to the hospital, Al-Watan daily reported yesterday. According to the allegations, the ex-wife was so bitter regarding the divorce that, while the ex-husband was out running errands, she called the wife, introduced herself as a hospital nurse, and said that her husband had died in a car accident. The new wife, who had been married to the man for four months, allegedly was so distraught that she herself had to go to the hospital for treatment after fainting from stress.
