Indian Summer Restaurant has embarked on a massive expansion plan in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries with its second world-class outlet to be opened within a month in the Saudi capital. With the opening of this new restaurant with a 300 plus banquet facility, to be located on King Abdulaziz Road in Musalat district, Indian Summer management is all set to surpass all high cuisine standards.

This was disclosed by Shabbir Netarwala, general manager of Indian Summer Restaurant. Shabbir said that Indian Summer has also blazed a new trail on the culinary front by embarking on a project to diversify its cuisine range. The restaurants will introduce a new menu from next month. “Moreover, our executive lunch buffet and specialized live tandoor catering are two most coveted products liked by everyone in the city,” said Shabbir.

The restaurants with new menu, Shabbir said, will offer quality food and value for meals. Indian Summer is also offering the daily business lunch buffet, which is a major strength of this restaurant. Children under four years are free of charge and children from five to 8 years only pay a little amount. Indian Summer is catering to all nationalities including a growing number of Saudis and Western expats besides Indians.

The restaurant has become very popular in terms of catering outdoor parties and functions. Referring to the customers from the subcontinent, Indian Summer GM said that “those from the subcontinent of course continue to be our regular customers.” Indian Summer, he said, is the only location in Riyadh, where one can enjoy the aromatic flavor of spices and a range of authentic subcontinental dishes including Indian and Kashmiri cuisine. This includes sizzling grills like chicken tikka, chicken boti, lamb boti, seekh kabab, fish tikka and mix grill platter. A number of dishes are served on a rotating basis and this is the case with original mutton served with green chilies and lemon. There are a range of meat dishes available on the buffet such as boneless mutton masala, chops masala, chicken keema, mutton with ginger and garlic, a boneless chicken dish and many more. The breadline, Shabbir said, includes tandoori roti, plain nan, butter nan and tandoori paratha.
