JEDDAH, 21 February 2007 — The wife of a diplomat’s assistant initiated an attack on a cashier in a well-known commercial store because he questioned the woman about his suspicion that her child had shoplifted, an Arabic daily reported yesterday. The cashier was hospitalized with wounds to his face and chest after the woman attacked him. She called her husband into the store where, according to the report, he also began beating the cashier. The police are still investigating.
