Tamlik for Real Estate Development has appointed Drive Communication Agency as its PR consultant. Tamlik has several real estate projects to its credit including those in Al-Muhammadiyyah and Jawharat Al-Muhammadiyyah and two in Al-Rahmah, as well as Tamlik administrative tower and Paradise Lagoon in Durat Al-Arus. Tamlik is also undertaking the housing project of Safwat Al-Khalidiyyah. Maureen Kempston Darkes, General Motors Group vice president and president of General Motors Latin America, Africa and Middle East, received the award of Saudi Auto 2007 “4x4 of the Year” for the Chevrolet Tahoe. The award was presented by Saudi Auto Editor in Chief Bakur Azher in the presence of top executives from the GM regional office in Dubai. The new generation Tahoe, which entered the Saudi market for the first time this year, was redesigned to deliver a sharper driving experience, more power, segment-leading fuel economy, increased interior refinement and improved quietness.

Red Cap, claimed to be the Middle East’s biggest one-stop hypercenter for total car care, recently concluded the “Register and win free trip to Abu Dhabi - 18th Arabian Gulf Cup contest” promotion. Sony Corporation has named Osamu Miura as the new managing director of Sony Gulf FZE. Miura was one of the founding members who established Sony Gulf FZE in 1989. Prior to his current assignment in Sony Gulf, Miura spent eight years in Latin America as president of Sony in Argentina and Chile and director, sales and marketing in Brazil. Miura takes over the reigns of Sony’s regional operations from Masaru Tamagawa and brings to Sony Gulf new leadership that combines local knowledge and global experience. “The Middle East and in particular the UAE, has developed phenomenally. I am delighted to join Sony Gulf when the business in the region is at the threshold of an exciting phase - the shift from standard to high definition.
