RIYADH, 26 February 2007 - Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) received Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his wife Emine Erdogan and accompanying delegation at Kingdom Resort in Riyadh on Saturday.
Alwaleed hosted a luncheon in honor of his guest. The Turkish delegation included the minister of state, Mohamed Ayadin, State Minister Ali Babacan and his wife and Turkish Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Naci Koru and his wife, Mehmet Necati Çetinkaya, Bülent Gedikli, Nükhet Hotar Göksel and Edibe Sözen, deputy chair persons of the Justice and Development Party. The meeting was also attended by members from KHC which included Talal Al-Maiman, executive director of domestic investments, Shadi Sanbar, Special Adviser to the chairman, Nahla Alanbar, protocol department manager and from Prince Alwaleed's palace management, Amani Al-Qahtani, manager of Alwaleed's Palace, Fatima Alsharif, assistant manager of Alwaleed's Palace.
Prince Alwaleed and Erdogan discussed bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Turkey. Prince Alwaleed and Erdogan probed investment opportunities in Turkey. Erdogan called on the prince to increase his investments in the country encouraging the prince to consider investments in tourism, a main source of income for Turkey.
