JEDDAH, 1 March 2007 — The Institute of Overseas Filipino Architects (IOFA) will induct its new sets of officers tomorrow at Ramada Hotel, formerly Al Harithy along Palestine street.
Consul General Pendosina Lomondot has been invited to be the guest speaker and to officiate the induction ceremony.
“Our aim is to help our fellow OFWs to become more competitive by introducing, developing and creating awareness within the framework of this highly competitive profession,” said Arturo Olipas, the group’s newly elected president.
The group plans to provide seminar workshops and lectures in various field of expertise, including Basic AutoCAD, 3D Renderings, Photoshop in Architectural Rendering, Project Management/Planning on basic and advance Primavera version 7.
The newly elected officers are: Arturo Olipas, president; Eleuterio Perez, executive vice president; Alfredo Lagrana Jr., vice president for internal affairs; Magsaysay Shainoden Bato, VP for external affairs; Joselito C. Palacol, VP for research and development; Ramon Rayco, secretary; Danielo Mateo, deputy secretary; Charlie Ceralde, finance director; Marcelino “Marc” Mallari, deputy finance director; Ibrahim Macadatu, auditor; Joseph P. Flores, business development director; Paquito Saquibal, deputy business development director; Thomas S. Rivera, public relations officer; Balsam Hamid & Raden Bance, general coordinator; Alain P. Lagasca and Mohamad Tasis, technical and security coordinator.
The advisers are Edris Tamano, Ken Mapandi, Benito Corpuz, Yusoph Taha, Ronelio Carreon, and Paul Antiporda.
