DUBAI, 11 March 2007 — Dubai Bank has launched MULKI property financing, a new Islamic Shariah compliant product designed to facilitate the purchase of properties in the United Arab Emirates. The product is available to UAE nationals and Expatriates residing in the UAE. Adnan Chilwan, head of Marketing & Product Development said: “With the property market booming in UAE, the need for Shariah compliant property financing solutions are increasingly necessitated”. “MULKI” is an end-to-end Shariah compliant property financing solution, constituting financing structures based on either the Murabaha or the Ijara.
Winners of DQA to Be Honored

DUBAI — Sheikh Mohammed ibn Rashid Al-Maktoum, UAE vice president and prime minister and ruler of Dubai, will honor the winners of the Dubai Quality Award (DQA) at a ceremony on Tuesday to be held at the Grand Hyatt hotel, Dubai. The DQA Supreme committee will present its recommendations to Sheikh Mohammed to ratify the results before the ceremony. The Dubai Quality Award enjoys the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed, who has been instrumental in driving the quality movement across the private and public sectors in the emirate.
