JOUF, 19 March 2007 — Governor of the Northern Region Prince Abdullah ibn Abdul Aziz ibn Musaed has signed an agreement with Deputy Minister of Social Affairs for Social Security and National Housing Muhammad Al-Uqla to build 1,500 housing units in the region. Half of these housing units will be built in Arar and the rest will be distributed in various towns of the region. Rafha will get 300 units, Turaif 200 units, Al-Uwaiqilah and Al-Shubah 100 units each and Linah 50 units. The housing projects include mosques, schools, health centers and public parks. During the signing ceremony a video of the models of the housing units was shown.
