JEDDAH, 3 April 2007 — India’s overseas missions including its embassy and consulate in Saudi Arabia will not charge fees for attestation of documents required for transportation of dead bodies of Indian nationals to India or for their burial locally. This follows a decision taken by the government of India, according to a consulate press release here yesterday. The decision follows the demand from the Gulf Indian community for a fee waiver for such attestations.
