JEDDAH, 6 April 2007 — The academic committee at the eighth Jeddah Economic Forum (JEF) has already analyzed 30 percent of the recently held event’s outcomes and the comments of its 5,100 people attendees, Sami Bahrawi, board member of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) and JEF president, said recently.
He also noted that a committee consisting of academics from the London School of Business and Effat College in Jeddah had been formed to identify and detail a series of appropriate and professional recommendations for the outcome of the last JEF. Bahrawi said the organizers have used this year’s special scanning devices — which were distributed among attendants to register their votes on various polls that were conducted after every session — to develop the recommendations. He added that the entire process should be completed within two months.
The JCCI chief also added that the recommendations would be sent to participants via email as soon as they are completed.
He said that the recommendations will help academics and professionals understand the direction that the Kingdom is heading toward in issues relating to privatization, social responsibility and education.
