JEDDAH, 27 May 2008 — A Moroccan woman was arrested for running a brothel in the Bab Sharif area of downtown Jeddah, a police source said yesterday.
The woman is accused of converting her apartment into a prostitution operation with the help of three other young women, also Moroccans, and an unreported number of people of Asian nationality.
The Asians allegedly lured nurses and housemaids to the apartment to work as part-time sex workers. The police raided the apartment and arrested four women with the help of the Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, which had received several complaints about the dubious activities at the apartment.
