JEDDAH: Mohammed Jameel, president of Abdul Latif Jameel Company, has urged his staff members to treat the company’s clients as guests.

“Satisfying the guest should be the hallmark of our work culture,” he told the company’s annual meet.

Akira Okabi, chief executive officer and board member of Toyota International, was present at the ceremony that was organized to honor ALJ’s dealers. Jameel reminded the staff on the need to work as one family, following a distinguished methodology.

“We have to develop our work and improve our services. We should also exert utmost efforts to achieve maximum satisfaction of our guests,” the president told the gathering including senior officials.

Faisal Abdullah, vice president local operations, explained the achievements made by the company in the past year. He also spoke about the excellent results during the last two months. Saleh Al-Jasser, executive director general for operations, spoke about the company’s plans for 2009.

Outstanding dealers, especially in the after-sale and new car service sectors, received prizes. The company has more than 117 sales outlets.

In a related development, Okabi, the Toyota CEO, honored Jameel by giving him the prize for outstanding guest service in the spare parts and maintenance sector. Jameel thanked Toyota for the honor.

“This prize will encourage our company to exert greater efforts to win the confidence of our guests,” Jameel said. He referred to the company’s new projects worth SR3.8 billion to improve services.
