JEDDAH: Three Indian students have won first prize at a science competition held at Effat University on the sidelines of the Science Exhibition Fair last Thursday. The students’ won the prize for designing a robot that could help rescue victims in natural disasters, such as earthquakes, and when buildings and tunnels collapse. The robot has been designed to discover people under rubble by detecting their heartbeats. The three students include Anam Nemat, Shereen Khan and Shehnaz Sultana, who were supervised by their teachers Fareeda and Sajida.
