• Carry only essential belongings when you go to Mina. Don’t forget to include an umbrella, especially if you are elderly.

• While in Mina, identify a landmark close to your tent.

• Remain close to other members of your group, especially in crowds. This will limit the possibility of getting lost.

• Don’t lose sleep at night and rest as much as possible.

• Be very careful about your health. Ensure the food you eat is clean, fresh and healthy. For example, eating too much meat can lead to diarrhea, something that can be a huge inconvenience. Drink as much bottled water or laban as possible.

• Always keep with you, even when visiting the lavatory, your identity bracelet or card that shows your name, country, place of residence and the name of your Tawafa organization.

• Avoid carrying heavy luggage while going to Jamrat — it is prohibited. Take your time at the Jamrat. If need be, wait until the crowds lessen.

• When shaving your head, ensure the barber is using a fresh blade.

• When circumambulating the Kaaba, try not to be too close to it if the area is full. Circumambulating close to the Kaaba can be dangerous, especially if you suffer from respiratory problems. Opt to perform the circumambulation on the first or second floors, which are not so crowded, even if the distance is more.
