- JEDDAH: Fifteen students of the American University of Rome (AUR) from five different countries, including the US, Italy and Saudi Arabia, will attend the 56th session of the Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN) in Boston, Massachusetts, a four-day event that starts on Thursday.
The AUR students will be representing Saudi interests and attempting to pass resolutions which the Kingdom would support on topics ranging from the proliferation of small arms to redefining the world refugee crisis. The students have been studying Saudi Arabia’s history and policies since October 2009 in preparation for the said conference.
Attending this year’s HNMUN conference will be 3,000 college and university students from the United States and 35 other countries.
