- DAMMAM: A judge in the border town of Al-Khafji was forced to taste the same bitter law that he had been handing out to others after threatening to punish traffic officers at a checkpoint midway between Dammam and Al-Khafji.
The officers had asked the judge to show them his ID card in order to issue him a ticket for speeding. The judge became enraged at this and verbally abused officials, threatening to punish them. He then drove off without warning.
A police vehicle, however, blocked his way and the judge was arrested, handcuffed and brought to court, Al-Shams newspaper reported.
