The boy, who was studying for his final exams at Al-Bukhari high school in Al-Rafgha area, truanted one day.

The school contacted the father, who came to the premises the next day and beat up his son in front of all his classmates.

The son, angry with his father, ran away from school to his home and came back carrying a Kalashnikov. His mother contacted the father just after she saw the boy carrying the gun.

The father took his own gun from inside the car and stood in front of the school to prevent his son from attacking the school.

When the boy arrived, he emptied the gun’s magazine at the school building and the teachers’ cars.

In the meantime, the father was firing warning shots at his son to scare him away. The son fled from the scene after he fired more than 30 bullets. Police arrived afterward and managed to arrest the boy a few hours later. Officers held both father and son for questioning.
