“The society submitted a detailed report of the survey in the neighborhoods ravaged by the flood to the concerned authorities,” Chairperson of Iktifa Jawhara Al-Angari said on Wednesday.

“While the study gathered information about 44,357 families in the flood-hit districts, 2,444 cases have been passed to various agencies to provide them help,” said Al-Angari, who was commended by Jeddah Gov. Prince Mishaal bin Majed for the humanitarian services offered by her charity organization.

Giving more details on the follow-up actions of the study, she said the society forwarded 616 cases for training and employment, 1,795 cases for social service. She added that the society prepared the studies with the collaboration of the Saudi Environmental Society, the Iman Society for Cancer Patients, Civil Defense and the governorate of Jeddah.

She also said the society offered various kinds of assistance to 1,645 victim families.

The study covered districts such as Harazat, Mahameed, Nuzlah and Bahrah.

She added that the society participated in 18 forums and workshops and signed 12 agreements in Jeddah and Makkah.
