- JEDDAH: The King Abdulaziz Charity Society for Social Service in Hail is organizing a special Ramadan competition to encourage young men and women to learn to be good husbands and wives.
Fifty couple about to be married during the Eid holidays will participate in the program called “The Bridegroom Rally” to be launched on Saturday.
Bridegrooms participating in the event should be residents of Hail province and have received their marriage contracts from the Hail General Court. They should also fulfill the following conditions. The couple should be Saudis of not less than 20 years of age. They should be first timers in marriage and the bridegroom should not be earning more than SR3,000 a month.
Bride contestants should attend at least two days in the women’s training session to be conducted simultaneously.
The winners will be decided on the basis of the points they collect.
Apart from each participant receiving SR10,000, the winner of the highest points in the contests will get household furniture and appliances such as a set of men’s majlis, a refrigerator, a freezer and an audio system. The winner of the second place will get a refrigerator, a freezer and an audio system. The third place winner will get a refrigerator and an audio system while the fourth place winner will get a freezer and an audio system.
