“She was in her mother’s womb for only 23 weeks before birth instead of the normal 40 weeks,” said Dr. Abeer Mohammed Miqdad, a neonatologist at Riyadh’s Security Forces Hospital.

Today Dareen is a bouncing little girl weighing 7 kilos and living a normal life. The parents are thankful for the health services they were provided.

“It was night when the hospital staff called me at home, informing me about her case,” said the doctor.

Dareen left hospital on Jan. 12 weighing 2.7 kg. “When Dareen was discharged, she was already smiling a lot and had become close to the staff who were sad when they bade her good-bye,” said Miqdad.
