According to a report in Friday’s Al-Madinah newspaper, the baby really wanted out of the womb and the father had no choice but to call for emergency assistance, fearing he would not be able to reach the hospital in time.

An ambulance responded to the distress call and birthed the child right there at the stop light. The mother took the stress well, saying she was glad at least that no midwife was needed.

On a side note: pregnant women are neither expected to fast nor advised to fast during the holy month of Ramadan.
