They used the forgeries to pose as Saudis when running their businesses and buying cars, spokesman for Madinah police Brig. Mohsen Saleh Al-Raddadi announced Friday.

He said the criminals admitted to the offenses and were taken to the police station pending a court appearance.

The spokesman said the activities of the Yemenis were uncovered after a Saudi citizen who was living in Jazan was notified of three traffic violations he had supposedly committed in Yanbu, even though he had never been there.

He also discovered that four cars had been registered in his name, despite only owning one.
