- QURAYAT: When a court official with special access is accused of breaking the law, it’s probably fair to suspect he might try to meddle in the case against him.
Surprise, surprise! That’s exactly what happened, according to a report on Saturday in a local Arabic daily newspaper. The employee worked at a court in the northern city of Qurayat.
According to local officials, the man used his access to the court’s filing system to obtain and burn records pertaining to the case against him.
Unfortunately for him he was caught in the act before he could destroy the evidence. The report didn’t say what he was being charged with, but we now know the second charge that was added to the record he didn’t manage to destroy.
