- JEDDAH: The General Court in Jeddah has postponed payment of compensation worth SR116 million to relatives of Jeddah’s Nov.
- 25 flood victims.
However, informed sources told Arab News that the court would start paying the compensation soon after completing some administrative procedures.
The court has already prepared the checks and will be handed over to judges for distribution after Eid Al-Fitr. All beneficiaries should present the necessary documents, including death certificates and authorization of heirs to receive their checks. The compensation was ordered by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah.
Owners of vehicles and real estate properties damaged as a result of the deluge were also given compensation. As many as 32,000 individuals have benefited from it.
