“The mobile facility visited villages in Wadi Sitarah and treated many people. Thirteen of those visited had high blood pressure, eight had diabetes and another eight suffered from various eyesight diseases,” said Dr. Abdullah Al-Fakieh, the charity’s secretary-general. He added that there is a need for more health centers in remote villages where the population is growing. He also said one person was referred to a hospital for further medial help.

The caravan consisted of two doctors, a nurse, a pharmacist, two technicians and seven general assistants. The charity’s voluntary mobile service visits locations in the Makkah province where there is a shortage of health care centers. It also undertakes medical awareness campaigns and carries out relief operations at times of crises.
