He was accompanied by Labor Attaché David Des T. Dicang of the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in the Eastern Region.

Villamor also sought the assistance of Prince Muhammad in resolving the case of 22-year-old Romilyn Eroy-Ibañez, who died from acid burns and stab wounds in Alkhobar recently.

“In my three years and eight months’ tour of duty in the Kingdom, Prince Muhammad has been very supportive in resolving cases that we referred to him, like the Sarah Dematera case,” said the ambassador.

Dematera was only three days into her job as housemaid in Hofuf when she killed her employer in 1991, but with the assistance of Prince Muhammad, Villamor was able to convince the family to forgive her.

“Prince Muhammad was happy to see us and pledged that if a crime was committed leading to the death of Ibañez, he assured us that justice would be administered on behalf of her relatives,” Villamor said.

Dicang said the autopsy report on Ibanez’s death had not been released by the Dammam Central Hospital.

Ibañez was found unconscious in her employer’s kitchen and was rushed by the Red Crescent to the King Fahd Hospital but she died later.
