- JEDDAH: In the first incident of its kind the administrative court in Hail canceled the promotion of an engineer in Hail municipality from the 12th grade after a year of his promotion, Shams daily newspaper reported on Tuesday.
The court was acting on the basis of a complaint lodged by the engineer’s competitor. In the complaint, the engineer’s colleague said he deserved the promotion before others.
After six sittings during the past six months, the court found that the engineer was promoted in violation of rules. The municipality said it would appeal the decision.
