He urged able Saudi citizens and foreigners to support the campaign by depositing their donations, whether in cash or checks, at the National Commercial Bank (account No. 4,000).

“They can also make their donations through the bank’s telephone or at the bank's website on the Internet,” he said.

Prince Mishaal said people wishing to donate cars or houses should sell them and hand over cash, adding that other material donations such as medicines and foodstuffs should have an expiry date that is no less than a year and be properly packed.

Meanwhile, a team from the governorate is currently choosing easily accessible centers to receive donations.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah has issued directives to organize popular campaigns to collect donations for the people of Pakistan in the wake of the floods. Minister of Interior and Second Deputy Premier Prince Naif has also called for the opening of centers to collect donations, and asked citizens and expatriates to form committees across the Kingdom for this.

On his part, Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal asked businessmen and the rich to support the campaign.
