ANB's total operating income for the first nine months of 2010 put at $898 million, representing a slight decrease of two percent compared to last year, ANB stated on Tuesday. Assets as of Sept. 30, reached $27 billion, and investments touched $5 billion, while the loans portfolio reached $17 billion and customer deposits totaled $21 billion. ANB CEO Robert Eid said the decrease in profits came due to two major reasons - the bank's conservative policy to create provisions in support of its financial position and the substantial drop in commission prices.
