During his visit, Ahmed is slated to meet with the Deputy Minister of Labor Abdulwahid Al-Hameed on Sunday and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nizar Obeid Madani on Monday. He will also meet his community members at a reception held in his honor at the Indian Embassy on Sunday.A diplomat from the Indian Embassy said that the visiting minister would focus on matters of bilateral interest during his talks with the Saudi officials. He pointed out that labor-related issues will be taken up during the talks with Labor Ministry officials . He pointed out that the minister is concerned with the welfare of the two million Indian expatriates in the Kingdom. During the visit of Indian Premier Manmohan Singh, India and the Kingdom signed the Riyadh Declaration that paved the way for enhanced cooperation between the two countries in areas of trade, commerce, politics and defense. According to the diplomat, the two parties would evaluate the progress made in its implementation and identify new areas to forge ahead. On Saturday evening, the state minister will be hosted at a reception by the Kerala Muslim Center at the Huda International School here. The visiting official is expected to inaugurate a public library during his visit to the school. Ahmed will also visit Jeddah and visit the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.
