Police is searching for the gunman who ran away after firing at the doctor while he was working at the clinic, said spokesman Lt. Col. Abdul Mohsen Al-Maiman.

Police were informed soon after the shooting incident and the doctor was taken immediately to Al-Noor Hospital where he died of gunshots.

"An Arab national entered into the doctor's clinic and opened fire at him before running away," witnesses told Arab News. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
