- LOS ANGELES: Lindsay Lohan has won a temporary restraining order against a man she says sent her delusional phone text messages and believes he has a romantic relationship with her, a court spokeswoman said.
David Cocordan left boxes of heart shaped chocolates at Lohan's home and magazine articles about the actress with his own name scrawled on them, Lohan said in a court filing. He has contacted the 24 year-old "Freaky Friday" actress with more than 100 unwanted phone calls and text messages since 2009, according to the court papers.
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge granted the restraining order against Cocordan on Thursday and set a June 8 court hearing to decide if it should be made permanent. Cocordan could not be reached for comment. Police believe Cocordan is schizophrenic and that he is not taking his medication, Lohan said in the court papers. He believes he is engaged to marry her and sends sexually explicit messages.
