- JEDDAH: Jordanian actress Mais Hamdan said that she dreams of one day featuring in “Tash Ma Tash,” a Saudi satirical comedy that has been running for 16 seasons.
She said the show was extremely popular in the Arab world, adding that participating in the drama would give her the opportunity to master the local Saudi accent. Hamdan is currently in Jeddah filming a TV production called “Fenak 2” (Where Are You?), with Saudi director Faisal Yamani.
She said she was happy that she was maintaining a presence in Saudi drama. She starred in the first Saudi movie “Kaif Al-Hal” (How Are You?) in 2006. She added Saudi cinema needs a boost in order to make more movies. Hamdan is getting ready to release her first album.
She said her album would include songs by Gulf songwriters. She will participate this Ramadan in two shows, “Fenak2” on Saudi TV and “Sabaya4” on the Rotana channels.
