- CAIRO: A Facebook campaign attacking Egyptian actress Ghadah Abdul Razeq for standing against the revolution in Egypt and expressing support for the Mubarak regime instead is gathering pace.
More than 5,000 members have so far joined the group, which attacks her new series “Samara” that will air this Ramadan. The members questioned why an actress who stood against the revolution is receiving 3 million Egyptian pounds.
They even questioned the originality of the series, claiming that it was copied from an old Egyptian movie. “Samara” will air on only one Gulf channel after Egyptian broadcasters, fearing a public boycott, refused to pick it up.
