During the meeting, which took place on the eve of Zardari’s visit to Iran, bilateral and regional issues were discussed. Interior Minister Rehman Malik was also present in the meet.

Zardari said that Pakistan highly values its relation with the Kingdom and wish to further strengthen political, economic, trade and commercial ties between the two countries.

Discussing regional situation with reference to Middle East, the president reiterated Pakistan’s stance that it favors political stability and noninterference in internal affairs of the countries by outside elements.
