- NEW DELHI: Indian refiners on Wednesday sought additional crude supplies from Saudi Aramco for August as Iran has not yet made allocation for the month, sources involved in the talks said.
“India’s Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum and Essar Oil have each asked for one million barrels extra for August,” a source with knowledge of the matter said.
An official at HPCL confirmed seeking additional volumes for August.
Iran has not yet made allocation of oil supplies to India for August, sources at two state-run refiners said.
A Gulf industry sources said Saudi Aramco might supply India with one of their mixed blends such as special brew if Iran halts supplies.
