Speaking to Arab News former BJP President Rajnath Singh said, “Now the BJP demands an impartial probe into the Congress leader’s visit to Muslim-dominated area of Sanjaypur in Uttar Pradesh, where the police have traced links to Mumbai blasts.

“Singh had gone to Sanjaypur, so why shouldn’t his role be probed,” Rajnath questioned. The BJP believes that terrorism has no religion. But unfortunately what we are seeing is vote-bank politics by the Congress, Rajnath said and criticized Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi for his statement that one percent of terrorist attacks would still happen.

Rajnath said the federal government led by Rahul’s Congress party is ignoring the interests of poor farmers in Chandrapur and Yavatmal districts in Maharashtra.

The BJP leader further said, “Rahul is not bothered about farmers in the state ruled in an unjust manner by his party. Farmers are being paid a pittance for their land being used for government projects. I ask Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee to publish a white paper on India’s falling economy, which has completely destroyed the rural economic structure. The Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government has only burdened the poor people and given no relief whatsoever. Every two months the government is increasing the prices of fuel. The inflation is rising everyday and the government has no solution to arrest it. The people are tired of the UPA government and it would be just a matter of time, when the government will have to go if it does not make sweeping reforms,” Rajnath added.
