- TABUK: Police in Tabuk succeeded in foiling a suicide attempt by a 30-year-old Saudi, Al-Watan newspaper reported on Thursday.
The man threatened to slit his throat using a knife unless negotiators met several of his demands. He told them that he wanted his father to buy him a new car and never to report him to police if he committed a crime in the future. Police succeeded in convincing the man not to harm himself and said he had been suffering from psychological problems. Police transferred the man to a psychiatric hospital for treatment.
