The 20-year-old man was arrested Thursday and charged with a string of offenses, including aggravated breaking and entering and stealing. He is scheduled to appear in court Friday. Police did not release his name.

Two other men have been charged in connection with the attack on Christian Martinez. Martinez says he was held down on his bed and whipped 40 times with an electric cord by four men who broke into his Sydney home. A prosecutor has told the court that the men who attacked Martinez were Muslims who targeted him for religious reasons.
