The event is sponsored by Jeddah Gov. Prince Mishaal bin Majed. The Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) is participating in the event for the first time. About 50,000 visitors attended the event in the first week.

Traffic Director Brig. Gen. Muhammad Al-Qahtani attended the opening ceremony along with other representatives from government departments. The Traffic Department is participating with a booth. Officers were distributing safety flyers to visitors. The Ministry of Health is participating by giving visitors the opportunity to carry out free blood pressure and diabetes tests.

Saudi artists also engaged in the cultural program. Artists Nahar Marzoug, Ayman Hafez and Norah Hanif displayed 20 of their drawings. Hanif said they tried to show visitors that Saudi artists were able to present new art, and that they had achieved progress in the art field.

Children also have the opportunity to express themselves through drawing and coloring in a special section. Children use color sketch and learn about saving the environment. Every weekend, there is a competition among children for the best drawing.

Marwan Abdrabu, general supervisor of Aramco festival, said that this year was different because of the presence of numerous government sectors.
