Police said a Madinah-bound private bus carrying pilgrims collided into the rear of a trailer truck. The cause of the accident was still being investigated.

Civil Defense rescuers had to cut open the door of the bus to rescue the trapped passengers.

Five pilgrims who sustained injuries of varying degrees were taken to nearby hospitals and the two bodies were transferred to a morgue.
