- MADINAH: The Madinah municipality has continued its crackdown on restaurants that do not meet health standards before the start of Ramadan.
The authorities closed down three more restaurants for breaching health regulations. A source from Madinah municipality said intensive field inspections are being carried out on premises that serve food.
The same source said more such checks on restaurants would take place. The campaign came after Madinah Gov. Prince Abdul Aziz bin Majed ordered the municipality to investigate workers at a restaurant shut down recently for serving contaminated meat to customers.
