The orphans enjoyed their visits to blessed Tayba, the city of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and Makkah, and learned about the high morals of the Prophet from Islamic professors who gave them lessons on the concept of morality through lectures, discussions and short films.

The children visited Imam of Quba Mosque Sheikh Salih Awad Al-Maghamsi at his home where he told them about the virtues of love and altruism.

They also met Farouq Al-Zouman, the first Saudi citizen to climb Mount Everest, who told them about leniency, ambition and depending on God.

The orphans visited the Hijaz Railway Terminal built during the Ottoman era for trains running from Damascus to Madinah. They also toured the King Fahd  Qur’an Printing Complex where the Holy Book and its translations into more than 50 languages are printed.

The children prayed Maghrib at Quba Mosque, which the Prophet helped build, and Isha at the Mosque of Two Qiblas. They then visited Uhud Mountain, of which the Prophet said, “Uhud is a mountain that loves us and we love it.” They also visited the graves of martyrs of the Battle of Uhud.

After staying a whole week in Madinah, the children headed to Makkah where they visited the holy places and historic locations such as the site of the Hudaiybiya pact, Dar Al-Arqam, the Two Holy Mosques Museum, Makkah Library and the headquarters of the pilgrims gift factory. The visit concluded with the return of the team to Riyadh.
