Police found the weapons and bullets while searching a car. They seized an unlicensed Kalashnikov as well as 23 bullets from the man, a security source said.

“There were 15 caches of live ammunition in the box of the car, each containing 40 bullets,” the source said, adding that the total number of bullets reached 600.

Police also seized two more guns made in Spain and China as well as another cache of live ammunition.

Security agents have handed over the man to Maader police to complete investigations.
