- JEDDAH: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah returned to Jeddah on Tuesday after spending the last part of Ramadan in the vicinity of the Grand Mosque and laying the foundation for the mosque's largest expansion in history.
Earlier in the day, he performed Eid Al-Fitr prayer in Makkah and received a number of princes, Islamic scholars, senior officials and military commanders who came to greet him on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.
Also on Tuesday, the king received telephone calls from Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh, Moroccan King Muhammad, Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas, Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir and Lebanese President Michel Suleiman. They exchanged Eid greetings.
